Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation
Ok, so I seriously wanted to love the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation ... I really did. I went into this experience with all of the optimism, confident that I would love the foundation just as much as I love Fenty's primer and mattifying powder. Alas, those hopes were soon destroyed as quickly as a glass sitting on a coffee table alone with my cat :'(
First of all, if you want a completely matte face, this foundation will hold up to those claims ... buuuut, it might also leave your face completely devoid of life, as it did mine. I gave this a shot because, as I have said in the past, my face has all of the oil. All of it. And this does prevent the oil from seeping through, but it has such a heavy coverage that it just left my skin looking so completely flat that no amount of contouring, highlighting, and blush could bring it back to life. (Seriously, when even a guy with not much of a clue about makeup outside of what he hears as you ramble on about it agrees that your face just looks not quite right, you know that this is not the foundation for you). If you have been thinking about giving this a try for your oil control, I definitely recommend stopping by Sephora and picking up a sample before just buying it.
So, I am back on the search for a cruelty free foundation since (damn you Lancome) my current brand just HAS to torture bunnies >:(
.... seriously, Lancome, if you could just stop doing that so I can continue to purchase the only foundation I have found in my almost 20 years of wearing make up that will hold up to the oil on my face without making me look like a ghost, that would be great ...
Until next time beauty junkies!
